- Submit the application and required documents through any available channels.
- Pay the applicable fees once the request is approved.
- Applicant and guardian must verify their appearance before the attestation officer through any available means.
- Receive the affidavit of major age.

- If the application is submitted by one of the heirs or by any person interested in having a guardian appointed, in the event that no chosen guardian is appointed, a notice of succession must be enclosed with the documents.
- If the certification is for a person who has completed 18 years of age, his / her guardian or curator must be present.
- If the document submitted is a court judgment, it must be final and unappealable.
- Judgments issued outside the country must be certified and stamped with the execution seal of the competent court.
- If the person concerned or one of the parties fails to attend or is incapacitated, debilitated or is a legal person, the application must be submitted by a person acting on their behalf legally or lawfully, with the proof evidencing so.
- Any document issued outside the country must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- If the document is not in Arabic, it should be translated by a legal translation office certified by the Ministry of Justice.
- No transaction shall be issued or attested if it is a subject of dispute between the parties at the time of attestation; or if it falls under another jurisdiction, or otherwise contravenes sharia law, legislations, public order, or regulations.
- The judge may request any document that he considers necessary to prove the incident.
